Derek Copeland

Derek Copeland is a business executive based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with over two decades of experience in business consulting and investments. Derek Copeland serves as Principal of MCM Partners and administers the firm’s daily operations. Derek onboards accredited investors, works daily with existing investors, and manages debt and equity opportunities. He also sources for new projects and conducts due diligence on new and existing projects that meet the investment criteria for qualified investors.

Before his current role at MCM Partners, Derek Copeland served as the Founder and CEO of Silver Rock Wealth Partners for six years. He managed a team that advised clients on suitable investments based on the client’s goals and objectives and developed corresponding strategies for retirement planning and estate planning.

Mr. Copeland holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Florida where he graduated with Honors in 1996. He has received multiple honors, notably the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society award for Man of the Year in 2014 and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Foundation. Aside from his executive activities, Derek Copeland is interested in coaching youth baseball, duck hunting, saltwater fishing, international travel, golf, and tennis.
